board TRAINING program & Nonprofit Board Seminar

Elevate your volunteerism to board service.

Your personal and professional skills can be a force for good. I Live Here I Give Here’s annual Board Training Program (BTP) is a full-day immersive course designed to prepare individuals who are interested in taking on board service at a nonprofit organization.

The course topics explore a wide range of best practices in nonprofit board settings. Learn about board member roles and responsibilities, identify which board positions best match your personal experience, and discover the causes most meaningful to you.

Offered on the same day, at the same location, is our Nonprofit Board Seminar (NBS). It offers nonprofit staff and board members the opportunity to begin deeper conversations between their boards and staff within the core topics of the Board Training Program.

Not sure which track is right for you or your nonprofit? Find out here.

The thought behind BOARD TRAINING is simple:

Build the next generation of philanthropists, board members and community leaders.

"The Board Training Program’s educational grounding, including an overview of requirements and expectations, helped me really understand the commitment of serving on a board.... With this background, I was able to identify what type of board would be the best match and how I could best contribute."
