Global Movements Start with Local Action
Help Central Texas Achieve 5 Million Actions for Good this #GivingTuesday
Generosity is the foundation of our community. It sustains the culture of kindness that makes us proud to call Central Texas home, and helps our local nonprofit community address some of our most pressing needs.
Generosity takes many forms — volunteering your time and talents, making a donation or monthly gift, using your voice to help shape civic conversation, sharing your story to inspire others to give, and more. I Live Here I Give Here believes we all have something valuable to contribute to our community.
As the Central Texas home base for the global #GivingTuesday movement, we encourage you to take action for good and to share those actions with us to ignite a grassroots generosity movement. We'll be recording actions for good from local nonprofits, businesses, and individuals as part of the worldwide campaign November 1 - December 3, 2019 — GivingTuesday. Let's show the world how generous Central Texans can be!
Last year, our community completed 4.1 Million actions for good. This year, with your help, we're confident we can achieve 5 Million actions for good!

#GivingTuesday is a worldwide celebration of generosity that promotes giving back to your local community. Celebrated annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the commercial shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
