Amplify Austin Day Community Challenges and Events!

We are excited to announce several official partnerships and community challenges, expanded offerings with community-favorite organizations and businesses, as well as, numerous pop-ups and parties in support of Amplify Austin Day 2019. The seventh annual   community-wide day of giving will take place from 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28, through 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2019.

Tito’s Handmade Vodka continues to be a tenured sponsor and major supporter of Amplify Austin Day. In support of this year’s event, Tito’s Handmade Vodka will donate an extra $5 (up to $10,000) for any donors who use the hashtag #LoveTitos while giving to their favorite charities during the 24-hour fundraiser. Additionally, Tito’s is a major supporter of the I Live Here I Give Here Fund, which rewards all participating nonprofits with incentive dollars. Tito’s will donate an extra $5 (up to $10,000) for any patrons who donate specifically to this fund. This year's partnership will potentially lead to a $20,000 total donation that will touch more than 700 local nonprofits across Central Texas.

Austin-based on-demand delivery company, Favor, has partnered with ILHIGH in support of this year’s Amplify Austin Day challenge. Favor will donate $1 to the I Live Here I Give Here Fund for every delivery completed in Austin from Thursday, February 28 (all day) through Friday, March 1 at 6:00 p.m. Favor will also donate an additional $1 to the ILHIGH Fund for every Austin customer who tweets about their delivery, tagging @Favor with the hashtag #ILiveHereIGiveHere, for a total donation of up to $20,000. The I Live Here I Give Here Fund rewards all Amplify Austin Day participating nonprofits with incentive dollars.

Locally-owned jewelry brand, Bryan Anthonys has also partnered with I Live Here I Give Here to empower locals giving back on Amplify Austin Day. Twenty-five Amplify Austin Day fundraisers will be recognized with a special necklace referred to as the In The Heart of Texas necklace to recognize their support of giving local. In addition, ten donors to Austin Pets Alive!, Any Baby Can, and The Kindness Campaign will be rewarded with a special necklace recognizing the donor’s dedication to these organizations and their causes. Bryan Anthonys is the preferred jewelry partner of ILHIGH.

Several other local organizations have committed to matching dollars in support of Amplify Austin Day 2019 including St. David’s Foundation, who will again match funds up to $1.3 million; an anonymous funder, who has offered a $25,000 matching grant to be distributed among all participating Animal Care & Services organizations; the Reissa Foundation, which has offered a $20,000 matching grant to designated grant partners supporting foster care initiatives; and the Shield-Ayres Foundation, which has committed to a $10,000 matching grant to be distributed among all participating basic needs organizations. Plus, Austin Community Foundation (ACF) continues to be a supporting sponsor of the campaign, and ACF donor advised fundholders now have the ability to contribute to the campaign on AmplifyATX.org.  

ILHIGH is also excited to announce that several partners will host various pop-up events in and around Austin in support of Amplify Austin Day 2019, including a special celebration and family-friendly outing on Thursday, Feb. 28 at Oskar Blues Brewery in partnership with Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM) and Transient Mic. This event will feature other nonprofits including Creative Action, Austin Humane Society, Kids In A New Groove and more, plus live music by local favorites Riders Against the Storm, Shy Beast and My Golden Calf, and food available for purchase from Hecho en Queso.

Additionally, Salvage Vanguard Theater is hosting their 25th Birthday Pizza Party at Home Slice Pizza on North Loop from 6:00-10:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28. Patrons are encouraged to help the Theater meet its goal of $8,000 to give their artists a “Giving Wage,” which helps the artists not only live in Austin but also thrive in our creative community. Several Williamson County nonprofit organizations, including Meals on Wheels of Williamson Burnet County, Round Rock Area Serving Center and more will also be hosting a special events called Amplify Round Rock that will feature various food and drink specials, trivia games and additional activities at Round Rock Serving Center.

Shake Shack is also going to host a very special “25% Donation Day” at both Austin locations on Thursday, February 28. Patrons who wish to participate can show Shake Shack’s official Donation Day flyer to donate 25 percent of their meal total to their designated Amplify charity partner Austin Humane Society.

Amplify Austin is an initiative designed to increase philanthropy in Central Texas through online giving for hundreds of area nonprofits during a single 24-hour period. The seventh annual Amplify Austin Day event is scheduled to run from 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 28 through 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2019. Givers can plan ahead for Amplify Austin Day and make early donations now to their favorite nonprofits. Those interested in giving can find nonprofits located in specific counties or areas and also search for causes important to them on AmplifyATX.org.

Over the past six years, Amplify Austin has raised over $46 million for hundreds of local organizations. This year, the goal is to raise over $11 million for over 700 nonprofits across seven Central Texas counties—Travis, Hays, Williamson, Burnet, Bastrop, Caldwell, and Blanco—which builds upon the success and amazing community support received during last year’s 24-hour fundraising campaign. In 2018, Amplify Austin Day hit its goal of raising over $10.3 million in one day, including 62,115+ individual donations.
