“The Bolder Board Training is an example of the sort of programming that will anchor the educational opportunities at the Center for Social Innovation.” said Dan Graham, Founder of Notley. “The goal of this type of programming isn’t to answer the big questions. The goal is to ask the big questions of a community of talented and engaged leaders and provide them the support to test new hypotheses to move their work and our community forward. We look forward to providing a permanent home for this kind of learning and collaboration in Austin.”

“I Live Here I Give Here is thrilled to be working alongside Notely to bring this innovative training and conversation to Central Texas,” said Celeste Flores, Executive Director of I Live Here I Give Here. “We offer programs and initiatives year-round that connect individuals with giving back and know that The Bolder Board Training is going to empower local nonprofit leaders to imagine their biggest goals for change and teach them how to execute those dreams.”

The Bolder Board Training led by TED Talk Alumni Dan Pallotta is a workshop held in cities across the nation which illuminates the double standards surrounding charity and empowers boards to create sustainable and scalable business models across the philanthropic ecosystem. “It is not a traditional training on governance and finance,” said Dan Pallotta. “It is an immersion in possibility and aspiration that positively and radically disrupts traditional ways of thinking.”

“Boards have a vital role to play in supporting philanthropic innovation,” said Lisa Graham, Co-Founder of Notley. “We’re excited to bring Dan Pallotta to Austin because his workshops provide an opportunity for reflection in addition to providing attendees with a framework to take back to their organizations to turn insights into action,” she said. “We welcome ED’s and CEO’s, board members, and staff to join us in revolutionizing Austin’s philanthropic ecosystem.”

In every Q&A, the first question people ask Pallotta is, “How can I get my board to think this way?” Over time, The Bolder Board Training became his formalized response. After each workshop, Pallotta’s biggest piece of feedback is, “I wish my entire board were here!”  For more information on The Bolder Board Training and Dan Pallotta, please see: www.bolderboard.com.
